How much digital marketing costs for a business in Puerto Vallarta

By Ricardo Araiza, founder & CEO of

It is the question everyone asks and almost nobody answers. We are not going to answer it with a number, because any number given without knowing your business is a lie. But the cost can be explained, so you can compare like with like.

What you pay once: the launch

The first month of any serious project looks nothing like the rest. Material has to be produced from scratch, the digital presence built, measurement connected and the system left running. It carries about three times the work of a normal month.

If an agency charges you the same in month one as in month six, either it is not doing that launch work, or it is spreading it across the year. Either way, you want to know beforehand.

What you pay monthly: the team's work

Production, digital presence, client acquisition and measurement. What moves the price is not the number of posts: it is how much has to be produced from scratch each month and how long your sales cycle is. A restaurant and a real estate company do not cost the same even if they publish the same amount, because the restaurant sells today and the real estate company sells in six months.

What should not go through the agency: your visibility

This is the difference that can cost you the most money. Ad spend should be paid from your own account, so that 100% of it reaches its destination and you see every peso.

When the agency charges you a single amount that already includes the ads, there is no way to know how much went into advertising and how much stayed along the way. It is not illegal and it is not rare, it is common. But it is your money and you should be able to see it. Ask before signing, and ask to see it on a screen.

What makes the price go up or down

Four things, almost always: the season you start in, whether everything has to be produced from scratch or you already have usable material, whether you sell in one language or two, and above all how much one client is worth to you.

That last one changes the work the most. A business where each client leaves a little needs volume. One where each client leaves a lot needs precision. Those are different trades and they cost differently.

Three red flags

A closed price before knowing your business. A single-number quote with no breakdown. And a guaranteed result promised before seeing a single piece of your data. All three mean the same thing: you are being sold a package, not having your case solved.

What to ask instead

Do not ask how much it costs. Ask what is included, what is paid once, what is paid monthly, what part goes straight to getting you seen, and whose name the accounts are in. With those five answers in writing you can actually compare two proposals.

We give those five answers in the diagnostic, before talking money, at no cost. If after that it does not make sense to work together, we tell you that too.

First step

The first step does not cost.

Tell us about your business in eight questions. We review it with data and tell you whether it makes sense to work together, or whether it does not. We both decide with information, not with promises.
